Early Childhood Programs
The Tumbleweeds Early Childhood Programs is a highly innovative movement education program involving gymnastic principles for boys and girls ages 6 months through 6 years old.
The gym is set up like an obstacle course, using equipment specially designed for young children as well as Olympic sized apparatus. This helps the child develop fine and gross motor skills, as well as enhancing their overall physical fitness and starting the foundations of gymnastics.
Our program is designed to help the child develop and grow in many areas, such as: Balance, hand-eye, coordination, fine and gross motor skills, agility, cognitive development, socialization, independence, overall coordination and just plain fun!

Parents who bring their pre-school age child to Tumbleweeds most often think about the fun and physical benefits of taking a gymnastics class. However, the Tumbleweeds pre-school movement program provides benefits which go far beyond just the physical benefits.
Beginning with Sprouts, the Tumbleweed Parent Participation class for crawlers and walkers age 6 months to 15 months, toddlers are immersed in an exciting environment full of color, music and a variety of surfaces and tactile experiences. Children begin to learn through their physical interaction with the world, and the Tumbleweeds gym provides a safe place where children can explore their new world together with their parents.
Along with the motor skills and varied experiences providing a
head start on learning for pre-schoolers, the benefits increase as
the students progress through independent classes with our
professional instructors. This program teaches your children to
socialization skills necessary to become successful adults. These
classes encourage development through play and learning with programs designed to support your child's growth at his or her own individual pace. From sensory stimulation to problem-solving
activities, our classes use play-based activities to stretch the body and
develop the mind.
Beginning with our Sweet Peas and progressing up to Pre-Tumble and Team programs, these skills transfer seamlessly as Tumbleweeds students play like kids and grow like weeds.
More than anything else, the fun and challenging environment of the Tumbleweeds gym and our friendly and professional instructors provides a first experience with structured learning that the young students will remember for the rest of their lives.
