For those wanting more out of the sport of gymnastics we have our competitive team program. Our teams have had gymnasts place in the state championships for the past ten years. Our competitive teams are well known nationally as well as in the Melbourne area.

Our competitive Team Programs are structured to benefit each gymnast's personal talent.  We use no magic -  Only proper technique - good instruction and a good work ethic allows each gymnast to reach his or her highest potential.

If you are looking for a place for your gymnasts to become a talented, strong competitor as well as grow to a mature responsible adult the Tumbleweeds TEAM program is the place for you!

The Tumbleweeds coaching staff responsible for the Team Programs are Professional Members of USA Gymnastics, with over 2 decades of experience in the sport.  All are safety certified and and committed to providing the best team experience available in Florida.

The Tumbleweed Team Program is broken down into three levels:

1. Development Team
2. Compulsory Team
3. Optional Team

Participation in gymnastics as a competitive sport is a demanding pursuit.  Being successful in this sport takes, talent, time, commitment and dedication.  Although the demands are tough, the rewards for participating in the sport at this level are equally great.

Success in gymnastics does not come easily.  Each level of competition is successively more difficult, and skills at upper levels require not only strength flexibility and coordination, but courage as well.  The gymnasts must be determined, often must overcome mental and physical obstacles, and must maintain clear focus on long term goals in order to succeed.  These qualities transfer easily into school, and in later years into work and personal endeavors.

Each day in the gym a team gymnast faces new challenges that require full concentration, and attention to detail in perfecting performance.  Goals are set, and timetables need to be met in order to be ready for competition.  Day in and day out, as each of these goals are met, each becomes stronger and more capable of understanding the connections between work ethic and success.  As a result, although the team gymnast has a long work day between school and gym, they are able to maintain their excellence in school as well as gymnastics.
