Gymnasts at Tumbleweeds who have demonstrated their commitment  to do competition train until they have sufficient skill ability to begin at USAG Level 4, and as they acquire more strength and skills continue on to Level 5 and Level 6.

Compulsory Development in gymnastics requires attention to detail, dance as well as gymnastics skills.   Each level requires progressively more difficult skills, and the gymnasts require greater training time to move upward in their competitive level.

Competitive gymnasts who meet all the Tumbleweeds and USAG requirements at the Compulsory Levels will move on to compete Optional Levels 7 through 10.
